Youth Lacrosse Camp Registration Details

Registration Details: Registration includes all four camp sessions. In addition, all campers receive a fun, reversible camp lacrosse jersey as part of registration and should bring/wear them for the duration of camp. If you need guidance on jersey sizing, please refer to these size guides for boys and girls reversible jerseys. Note: when in doubt, opt for the next size up – jerseys do run slightly smaller than standard sizing. NOTE: jerseys are ordered 3 weeks prior to camp (but we order extras). Players registering after May 20, 2024 will be issued remaining jerseys on a “first come, first served” basis. We will do our best to provide a jersey for your child(ren) – size and type (girs or boys) options may be limited after May 20th.

USA Lacrosse Membership: If this is your first time registering with HYL, all players are required to have a USA Lacrosse Membership (an insurance requirement). You will have the option to setup a new membership or renew an existing one during the registration process. Memberships are good for one year – if your child participates in other HYL programs in the coming year, you will not need to pay this fee again ($35).

Camper Drop-Off/Pick-Up + Parent Communication: Camp BEGINS at 6PM each day and ends promply at 8PM. Please plan to arrive by 5:45 p.m. each day for check-in and 8:00 p.m. for pick-up. UPDATE: We will use Remind for camp announcements this year. We will include info on Remind for all registered players (parents/guardians) prior to camp. At least one parent/guardian will need to join the Remind for the duration of camp, so we have a way to communicate with the group in the event of schedule changes due to weather or other announcements during camp week.

Camp Safety: Camp will take place at Union Grove High School’s stadium and all children will be required to check-in/check-out (and not allowed to leave the stadium during camp). Our camp is staffed by adult volunteers and certified lacrosse coaches who have all passed required background screenings and other training/certification. We take safety seriously at camp – only authorized parent/guardian contacts will be allowed to check-out campers. Please notify the check-in table if a different member of your family will be picking up your child from camp. In addition to camp security, we also maintain a hydration and first aid station at camp.

Typical Camp Schedule: A typical camp session includes instruction on fundamental lacrosse skills appropriate for each age/skill group, as well as daily competition to allow children to play and compete in a variety of game formats. Camp sessions are carefully planned to keep campers engaged and to ensure we have a safe, fun week for all. All camp sessions are led by experienced lacrosse coaches and supported by current/former high school, college, and post-college (adult) players and coaches. Your children will be in good hands and learn a lot from our coaching staff during camp. If you have lacrosse experience and are interested in helping with camp, please let us know!

VOLUNTEERS: Are you interested in volunteering to help out at camp? Please contact Coach Jeremy (info below).

If not obvious, if you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Coach Jeremy at 404.641.9023 (call/text) or jeremy@henryyouthlax.org. Thank you for your interest in camp!
